This Caramel Apple Dump Cake is the easiest, yet most delicious cake you will bake this fall. With only 4 ingredients and 5 steps it’s completely goof proof.
I don’t know about you, but I get so excited about fall baking. There’s just something so incredibly homey and comforting about baking with my favorite fall flavors like apples, pears, pumpkins and caramel. Today’s dump cake is the epitome of easy fall baking! This recipe is perfect for making with your little bakers because it’s so easy, impossible to screw up, and delivers a stunning dessert.
A few of my favorite fall desserts:
Step 1
Prepare a 9 x 13 baking dish with nonstick spray and turn your oven to 350 degrees to preheat.
Step 2
Spread 2 cans of apple pie filling in a 9 x13 baking dish.
Step 3
Top the apple pie filling with chopped caramels.
Step 4
Spread a package of yellow cake mix over the top.
Tip: If you don’t have yellow cake mix on hand, try white cake mix or spice cake mix instead!
Step 5
Pour melted butter evenly over the top of the cake mix and then bake it for 45-50 minutes.
That’s it. That’s all it takes to make this gooey delicious dump cake recipe.
See how easy that was? Easy enough that it was the first ever recipe video I made for Facebook.
This caramel apple dump cake was one of the best parts of my week and I hope it will be yours too!

I made this recipe for a funeral, only I used the whole bag of caramels to give the recipe more caramel flavor. There were lots of other desserts. However, I had people looking for the person who made this fantastic recipe which disappeared rapidly. I felt like I won the blue ribbon!
